The Story Behind Dark Star Outfitters
My name is Rudi Laveran. Dark Star Outfitters was built on a foundation of family, tradition, and a deep love for the outdoors. The name is a tribute to my great-grandfather’s 1953 Kentucky Derby–winning horse, Dark Star - a symbol of quiet excellence, an honor to family heritage, and a reminder to take pride in doing things the right way. After years of working as a hunting and fishing guide in Montana and spending countless days in the field, I started this outfitting business with a simple goal: to create the kind of hunting experience I’d want for myself, my family, and my friends.
